Essential Functions of the Job:

• Provide technical guidance and support to teams on complex issues related to accounting and auditing practices.
• Ensure that services provided meet the firm’s audit quality standards and comply with relevant statutory regulations and professional guidelines.
• Engaging with clients to understand their audit needs and provide insights on best practices and compliance issues as well as various stakeholders to discuss findings and address any concerns.
• Developing and delivering training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members regarding professional auditing and accounting standards and best practices.
• Identifying and mitigating risks associated with service delivery, including compliance and reputational risks.
• Identifying and assessing financial risks that could impact the organization’s financial statements or operational effectiveness. This involves analyzing financial data and understanding the business environment.
• Stay updated on changes in auditing standards, regulations and industry trends to ensure compliance and enhance audit quality.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Accounting or Finance
• At least 10 years of relevant work experience in auditing or accounting environment
• Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and accounting standards
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a high level of attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey findings and recommendations
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and drive outcomes
