A leading company in engineering seeks a motivated individual for a supply chain role, focusing on supplier negotiations, contract management, and strategic planning. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills and thrive in a collaborative environment, with a minimum requirement of a degree and five years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities
Confidently engages supplier and negotiate for the best deal for the company
Establish contracts with key suppliers, establish pricing for tenders and support production activities
Well verse in contractual Terms and Conditions
Work with the materials and planning team, and co-ordinate engineering changes with other department to ensure on-time and efficient deliveries of product with the right quality at the right time. Including support for warranty claims of defective components and ensuring its quick repair turn-around-time to satisfy customer demands
Work closely with Designers and Quality team to identify new components / prototypes and develop new and existing suppliers
Ability to interpret within established procedures (including regulatory requirements) and practices and to exercise independent sound judgment in complex situations
Exercise good vendor management and monitor performance of suppliers to meet objectives in the area of quality, on-time delivery, inventory control and actively engages suppliers with regard to quality and production complaints (supplier evaluation and supplier development)
Management of PR/PO as well as purchase forecast to suppliers inclusive of rescheduling to meet changes in demand
Perform supply chain cost analysis and implement cost efficient and effective purchasing strategies
Identify and manage risks associated with supply chain
Collaborate with product director to ensure that supply plans are aligned
Good leadership skills and is confident in offering solutions and provides guidance to peers and the project team
Strategic planning experience with a plan approach
Requirements
Degree in any discipline with at least five years relevant experience or Engineering. Diploma with ten or more years of experience in sourcing & negotiating
A team player who enjoys a teamwork environment and is able to communicate with individuals at all levels/positions
Independent, self-motivated, result oriented with ability to work under pressure and willing to work beyond normal call of duty
ERP(SAP) knowledge with a keen interest in automobiles will be an advantage
