POSITION OVERVIEW

KKR has an enterprise data operations group to collect, manage, and harness the power of data across our diverse business activities. Given the criticality of Portfolio Company (PortCo) data to KKR’s Private Markets business, a dedicated PortCo Data Operations function has been established. Structured within the broader Global Data Operations organization, this team is tasked with ensuring all Portfolio Company data is controlled, consumable, and curated to deliver transparent & impactful insight across Portfolio investments to key internal & external constituents.

The PortCo Data Operations team is seeking to hire a Senior Manager based in Singapore to lead the APAC data collection and management efforts. The candidate will work closely with regional Private Equity deal teams, KKR Capstone, and Technology teams to lead the KKR internal portfolio monitoring process and associated technology platform for the purposes of Portfolio Company data collection, portfolio reporting, valuation, etc. While driving continuous transformation & improvement, this role will also assist with the execution of the on-going processes of Portfolio Company on-boarding, data collection, data quality management, and reporting/ analytics to meet the evolving needs of both regional & global leadership.

This position will report to the Global Head of PortCo Data. The ideal candidate would have the unique combination of business acumen, strong data analysis & technical skills, and a passion/ interest in private markets investing. The candidate should also have an interest in data management & governance, have strong verbal/written communication skills, and be a good cultural fit with an emphasis on collaboration, excellence, and action-oriented results.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Gain understanding of APAC regional reporting across investment & portfolio management processes, working closely with deal teams to build knowledge with active investments to better serve data collection & reporting needs

· Lead consistent data management, maintaining a single source of truth for Portfolio Company data across its lifecycle, including on-boarding new companies, monitoring existing companies, and reporting on exit activities

· Review data quality controls to ensure Portfolio Company data completeness & accuracy, helping with the processing of any / all corrective maintenance required to remediate identified data issues in a timely manner

· Collaborate with Global PortCo Data Operations team, to provide flexible support to all data initiatives and global functions, as necessary

· Prepare high quality reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc data requests across APAC PortCos

· Participate in all PortCo related data initiatives globally across KKR to provide data & analytics support wherever this dataset is leveraged

QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Analytics, Accounting, Engineering, or another relevant quantitative field; Master’s degree is advantageous

· A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, including related experience in financial institutions

· At least Intermediate level SQL, Advanced SQL preferred, to manipulate data (hands on experience with joins, views, stored procedures, etc.)

· Strong understanding of financial statements and the private equity ecosystem

· Hands on experience creating dashboards using data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools to support analyses

· Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, Excel plug ins, Power Query)

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluency in business Mandarin is advantageous given the regional nature of this role

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Buy-side exposure with experience in asset/ investment management

· Advanced data analytics & modeling skills using Python, R, etc.

· Experience with cloud data warehouse solutions such as Snowflake, Databricks, etc.

· Experience with Private Equity Portfolio Monitoring tools such as iLevel, Cobalt, Chronograph, etc.

· Knowledge of Private Markets/ Private Company data, trends and analytics

· Familiarity with market & alternative data vendors
