An established industry player is seeking a strategic marketing professional to oversee B2C event marketing activities. This role is crucial in planning and executing impactful campaigns, managing supplier relationships, and providing integrated marketing support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in experiential marketing and a deep understanding of the consumer technology landscape. You'll collaborate across teams, ensuring effective branding and communication strategies while driving measurable business outcomes. In this role, you will be a highly experienced and strategic marketing professional responsible for independently overseeing and driving all marketing activities, including branding, for a designated portfolio of B2C events. You will be instrumental in planning and executing impactful visitor and exhibitor marketing campaigns, managing key supplier relationships, and providing crucial integrated marketing support, all while operating without direct reports. This role requires a strong understanding of the B2C events landscape, exceptional campaign management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Oversee the B2C event portfolio marketing activity including branding.
Plan and execute visitor and exhibitor marketing campaigns on time, to budget as agreed in consultation with the Vice President and Event Director for the event.
Produce strategic and execution plans for all campaigns, regularly review, forecast, monitor spend and report effectiveness of these plans.
Provide integrated marketing and collaborative support to the exhibition sales teams to produce new content and partnerships for the portfolio.
Co-ordinate and manage a range of supplier relationships including creative designers, website developers, the media, data houses, registration companies, printers and mailing houses.
Manage digital agency relationships to fulfil a digital, social media and Public Relations plan for each of the portfolio products.
Manage, develop and maintain all product websites.
Produce effective advertising, marketing and sales collateral for all products including copywriting, design, production.
Database management, development and list sourcing.
Develop, negotiate and fulfil contract agreements with media partners.
Liaise with all team members and stakeholders on items containing event branding.
Conduct or commission relevant market research for each product when required, measure customer satisfaction and identify event development opportunities.
Manage, motivate and work in tandem with the Portfolio Marketing Manager, providing coaching and guidance.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Reporting Officer from time to time.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in integrated, experiential, performance marketing, preferably in Consumer/Technology industry.
Proficient in leveraging social media platforms and strategies to enhance engagement and drive measurable business outcomes.
Knowledge of online and offline marketing strategies and techniques.
Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on crafting consistent and compelling narratives across various channels.
Demonstrates excellent stakeholder management, collaboration, and project management skills.
