What The Role Is
The Strategic Planning and Finance Division drives alignment across MCCY and our agencies. As a Strategic Planning officer, you will be part of a dynamic team at the heart of strategic decision-making. You will be involved in designing, implementing and monitoring key workstreams to drive alignment and ambition across the MCCY family agencies (Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura, National Arts Council, National Heritage Board, National Youth Council, People's Association & Sports Singapore) are future-ready.
What You Will Be Working On
You will work closely with officers across the MCCY family agencies, engage in data-driven decision-making, and cultivate a transformative, collaborative culture. You will be a bridge between MCCY and Centre of Government, helping to shape the Whole of Government agenda for social resilience policies and translating this to tangible outcomes with MCCY family partners. What you will be working on:
- Strategy formulation: Formulate actionable, measurable and future-oriented strategies to align MCCY Family’s goals with our long-term vision and priorities.
- Strategic Communications: Communicate our strategies to internal and external stakeholders.
- Performance Monitoring & Evaluation: Use data-driven insights to assess the impact of strategies and initiatives, providing timely interventions to optimise outcomes.
- Research & Analysis: Work with colleagues to commission studies and analyse data to identify key societal trends to inform our strategies and processes.
Competencies
What we are looking for
- Strategic Planning: Plan and implement short and long-term strategic solutions to achieve agency’s objectives; support alignment of work plans, KPIs and enterprise risk management with agency direction.
- Corporate performance management: Implement performance management frameworks, prepare reports effectively communicate achievement of the agency's strategic priorities with reference to key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Research and Analysis: Analyse data and information to identify patterns, trends and outliers to better support evidence-based decisions.
Personal Traits
- A proactive, innovative and curious mindset.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to distil complex information into actionable insights.
- A good team player, who can collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including senior management and external partners
- Good appreciation of current socio-economic and geopolitical environment.
- Relevant working experience in a policy/corporate/strategic planning role will be a plus. Appointments will be commensurate with candidate's experience.
