A leading company in the infrastructure sector seeks a Procurement Manager to oversee strategic sourcing and vendor relationships. The role emphasizes contract management, supplier risk assessment, and performance analysis to drive operational efficiency. Ideal candidates possess a relevant degree and have a minimum of 5 years' experience in procurement, ideally in related industries.
1. Strategic Planning & Vendor Relationship Management
Propose strategic procurement initiatives to drive cost and operational efficiency.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, focusing on quality, reliability, and innovation.
Identify opportunities to improve vendor performance and negotiate agreements to enhance value creation.
2. Sourcing
Demonstrate good understanding of the market trends and purchase requirements in data center industry, and is able to source accurately and efficiently;
Perform daily procurement activities such as RFP/RFQ, negotiating favorable commercial terms, and provide evaluation and recommendations.
Coordinate administrative matters with work requestors and vendors.
Proactively follow up and close off work matters on time.
3. Contract Management & Compliance
Draft, review, and manage contracts with vendors, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
Monitor contract performance and address any issues or disputes promptly.
4. Supplier Risk Management
Assess supplier risk and develop mitigation plans to minimize operational disruptions.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards related to procurement processes.
5. Performance Analysis, Procurement Reporting
Track and analyze procurement metrics to measure departmental performance.
Provide regular updates and insights to senior leadership on procurement trends and opportunities.
6. Training & Others
Training to junior members of the team and other stakeholders.
Other duties and responsibilities as may be reasonably requested by your immediate supervisor / the head of department from time to time
Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Quantity Surveying, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a Procurement Department within the Construction, Data Centre, or Network industry.
Strong knowledge of SAP MM (Materials Management).
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
A proactive team player who can work collaboratively to achieve organizational goals.
Capable of working independently with strong negotiation skills.
Detail-oriented, analytical, and possesses excellent problem-solving abilities. Excellent team member, proactive in managing issues and possess sense of responsibility and ownership in his/her work and results.
