What the role is:
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Healthcare Analytics Specialist to join our team, playing a pivotal role in analysing healthcare service utilization, optimizing operations, and contributing to a culture of data-driven decision-making within the Ministry of Health (MOH). You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that requires managing multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.
What you will be working on:
1. Analysis of Healthcare Service Utilization:
- Apply data science and econometrics techniques to understand and provide actionable insights into healthcare utilization patterns.
- Collaborate with policy, cluster, and research partners to leverage domain expertise, enhancing analysis depth and accuracy.
2. Monitoring, Projections, and Optimization of Healthcare Services:
- Assess healthcare operations and resource needs thoroughly.
- Use data science techniques to monitor, project, and optimize patient demand and healthcare supplies.
- Continuously validate and refine methods to ensure alignment with best practices.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive monitoring and reporting framework for stakeholders.
What we are looking for:
Key Competencies Required:
- Degree in Operations Research, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science, or Business Analytics.
- Proficiency in scientific computing languages such as R, Python, or Stata.
- Experience applying data science or econometrics techniques to healthcare analysis.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Analytical and critical thinking skills to support sound policy recommendations.
- Curiosity and drive to learn and apply new skills and methods.
- Ability to seek improvements, innovate, and manage risks.
- Ability to mobilize and rally stakeholders towards common goals.
