Job Description

As the Accountant at A*STAR, you will play a critical role in the financial planning and analysis functions across the organization. You will be an integral part of the FP&A team providing strategic financial advice to different stakeholders and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Review general ledger ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
2. Ensure regulatory compliance with tax laws, financial regulations and corporate governance standards.
3. Provide accurate and timely financial advice on the compliance requirements to support business decisions.
4. Develop and maintain financial governance frameworks, including treasury functions and cash flow management.
5. Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives as needed.

Job Requirements

1. Preferably with a professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA or equivalent).
2. Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Strong technical knowledge, especially in the accounting and reporting standards.
4. Able to work independently and in a team to deliver outcomes in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
