Job description:

Overall Purpose of Job:

  • Manage and prepare cost estimation and commercial proposals, including contractual obligations required by the tender process.
  • Procurement and subcontract management for ongoing projects, involving vendor selection, negotiation, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit cost estimations based on tender specifications for approval, liaising with equipment suppliers and engineering/design teams to ensure specifications are met.
  • Maintain a good understanding of the business environment, market changes, and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies within defined scope.
  • Drive sales success with existing and new clients, including identifying clients, developing solutions, negotiating contracts, and managing relationships.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to report on marketing and business development activities, justify expenditures, and ensure project success.
  • Develop opportunity pipelines and assist teams in forecasting success.
  • Implement continuous improvement strategies to maximize company success.

Requirements

  • Preferably a degree in Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture.
  • Experience in both Commercial and Marketing roles within the marine industry.
  • Over 6 years of experience in the marine industry with a good global network of customers.
  • Knowledge of commercial and marketing aspects related to the marine industry.
  • Willingness to travel globally on short notice.
  • Ability to develop concepts into commercial products/solutions and execute related sales opportunities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and projects concurrently.
  • Attention to detail and success-driven attitude.
  • Outgoing personality, clear communication, and good presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel at short notice and willingness to work globally.

  • Location: 16 Benoi Road (Island-wide transport provided)
  • 5-day work week
  • Working hours: 7:25 am to 5:00 pm
