You will judge biological plausibility, design validation work, and translate science for business and investor audiences. The role covers scientific leadership, program management, cross-functional coordination, and mentoring junior scientists.

Qualifikationen

• PhD required in life sciences (e.g., molecular biology, cell biology, biotechnology, bioengineering, pharmacology).
• Minimum 6+ years of post-PhD research experience in academia or industry.
• At least 2+ years of project or people management with deliverable ownership.
• Solid AI understanding and hands-on experience.
• Hands-on lab depth: gene expression, cell/tissue culture, or assay development.
• Strong technical writing: publications, grants, reports or patents.
• Ability to explain complex science clearly to non-scientists.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Chinese.

• Scientific leadership: bridge between Partex delivery team and APAC customers; evaluate AI-generated results and align with customer needs; support design of customer projects and their delivery.
• Program and project management: run multiple programs, owning timelines, budgets, milestones, and risks; coordinate data science, lab, regulatory and business teams; report progress and go/no-go recommendations.
• Business and partner support: present science to pharma partners, investors and key opinion leaders; monitor regulatory environment.

Role summary

The Senior Manager, Life Sciences is the scientific lead facing the customer ensuring our AI-generated insights are understood and aligned with customer needs. The person will judge biological plausibility, design validation work, and translate science for business and investor audiences.

Key responsibilities

Scientific leadership

• Building the bridge between the Partex delivery team and the APAC customer
• Evaluate AI-develiped results and align with customer needs
• Support design of customer projects and their delivery

Program and project management

• Run multiple programs at once, owning timelines, budgets, milestones and risks.
• Coordinate data science, lab, regulatory and business teams around shared goals.
• Report progress and go/no-go recommendations to leadership.

Business and partner support

• Present science to pharma partners, investors and key opinion leaders.
• Help to monitor regulatory environment , such as orphan designation and repurposing pathways.

Communication and team

• Write and review technical reports, grant applications, publications and patent input.
• Mentor junior scientists and project officers.

Required qualifications

• PhD in Molecular Biology or cell biology, biotechnology, bioengineering, pharmacology or a related life science.
• 6+ years of research after the PhD in academia or industry, including postdoctoral or research fellow roles.
• 2+ years managing projects or people, with clear ownership of deliverables.
• Solid AI understanding and hands-on experience
• Hands-on lab depth, such as gene expression, cell and tissue culture, or assay development.
• Strong technical writing record: publications, grants, reports or patents.
• Ability to explain complex science clearly to non-scientists.
