Summary Responsible for the management, strategy and execution of IT systems and infrastructure within the organization. Develop the IT strategy in-line with onednata Group’s overall IT strategy keeping in mind future growth and technology innovation of the group.
To manage the overall relationships with business stakeholders, establishing an effective and consistent IT customer experience through identifying business needs and leading improvements and customer focus across all of IT.
Ensure delivery of all IT solutions, projects and services to the assigned business units in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Duties and Responsibilities
Establish an appropriate and cost-effective IT strategy (over a 3–5-year timeframe) to support the business strategy. Integrate IT strategy to the assigned business units to ensure full exploitation and alignment for the best interest of the Group.
Single point of accountability for all IT related matters to the assigned business units. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior business managers through regular direct contact. Represent IT in the senior management team of the assigned business units. Influence senior business managers on strategic business IT investment decisions to meet their business needs within a Group perspective.
Promote close collaboration and integration within the IT department. Drive a culture of customer intimacy through a business orientation framework and provide input in areas of partner and supplier management, risk management, service management, software engineering and operations, IT strategy and architecture. Introduce measures to ensure satisfaction levels are monitored and drive improvement across IT by managing a network of IT stakeholders who contribute to the IT customer experience and drive improvement action plans. Ensure satisfaction levels are communicated through IT and are part of targeted objectives.
Ensure delivery of the IT work programme for business units, ensuring that the projects are approved and initiated as planned and delivered within agreed cost and timescales, in accordance with IT standards and industry best practice, to meet and ideally exceed customer satisfaction. Work with applications and platform delivery to ensure business cases are reviewed to ensure that they are cost effective and that their return on investment can be realised, also to ensure projects and work programs are initiated.
Drive and deliver the annual work programme and financial management of the IT budgets for the business area, ensuring it aligns with, and supports business strategy, based on customer needs. Negotiate and agree the annual work programme with senior business stakeholders, ensuring it remains in line with the overall IT Strategy and guidelines from Portfolio Management.
Ensuring safety and security in station operations as fundamental operational priorities.
Maintain a broad and up-to-date understanding of the business and related systems. Identify business performance focus areas to Business Solutions Design to ensure the business is supported in creating and sustaining a competitive advantage and IT becomes a proactive and innovative enabler. Constantly seek and suggest areas of improvement and innovation through more effective use of IT, ensuring value adding opportunities are presented to the business.
Drive Service Management to ensure the effective delivery of all IT systems and services into the business ensuring that relevant and achievable service levels are agreed with the business. Ensure that the performance against service level objectives is reviewed with the business and escalations are managed.
Work with Service Management and Supplier/Partner management for optimisation of supplier relationships to support the business IT strategy, to deliver the services and products required and for financial planning of the business IT budget relating to Suppliers. Direct effective delivery of infrastructure and systems across networks, server platforms, storage, backup, security, applications, disaster recovery systems and end-user device management.
Ensure compliance with all workplace safety, security, and health policies and procedures.
Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned by the reporting manager or department head.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or Masters in Information Technology, Computer Science / Engineering and related qualifications. 10 years of management experience, with previous experience at a senior level in IT, ideally within a customer delivery environment.
Experience in leading delivery of business IT solutions, ideally in the travel & transportation industry is advantageous. Major account experience gained in both multinational and multi-cultural environments would be an added benefit.
Proficient in Business/IS Strategy and planning, technical strategy and planning, service delivery, business change and relationship management.
