Job summary

Economic Development Board in Singapore seeks a seasoned professional to shape Singapore’s innovation strategy. You will develop and co-create solutions to strengthen Singapore as an innovation economy, identify gaps, analyse findings, and craft value propositions with stakeholders.

You will also review and refine Singapore’s overall strategy in innovation, analyse project data, and measure outcomes of R&D and innovation policies.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of relevant working experience in design thinking, strategy/product development, innovation, IP/ technology commercialization, corporate planning and/or policy analysis.
• Skillset in quantitative data analysis (e.g. Excel, Tableau, Python) will be a plus.
• Passionate about developing levers to strengthen Singapore’s innovation economy.
• Keen sense of business acumen with strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Resourceful with a self-starter mindset and strong ability to develop and execute ideas and initiatives.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage and influence senior leaders and diverse stakeholders.
• Strong team player in an agile environment who is versatile and open to learn, explore and experiment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and co-create solutions to strengthen Singapore as an innovation economy: identify gaps through research and stakeholder engagement; analyse findings to characterise gaps, challenges and needs; develop value propositions with internal and external stakeholders.
• Review, refine and develop Singapore’s overall strategy in innovation: analyse project data to define EDB’s contributions and map Singapore’s strengths in innovation; measure outcomes of R&D and innovation policies.
• Note that this is an individual contributor role; you may also perform secretariat duties and support agenda setting for inter-agency platforms.
