Job summary

The Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) is seeking an experienced strategist for the Innovation Strategy and Partnerships division (ISP) – Innovation Systems in Singapore. You will develop and co-create solutions to strengthen Singapore as an innovation economy, working with internal teams and external partners to identify gaps and define strategic initiatives.

The role emphasizes data-driven planning, policy insight, and executive-level engagement in a fast-paced government setting.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of relevant working experience in design thinking, strategy/ product development, innovation, IP/ technology commercialisation, corporate planning and/ or policy analysis.
• Strong quantitative data analysis skills using Excel/Tableau/Python are a plus.
• Singaporean nationals preferred and ability to engage senior leaders and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and co-create solutions to strengthen Singapore as an innovation economy.
• Identify gaps in the innovation ecosystem through research and stakeholder engagement.
• Analyse data to define contributions to innovation and map industry needs.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including industry groups and government agencies.
• Note: this is an individual contributor role with potential secretariat duties.
