Job description

As the chief Fundraiser, you will play a pivotal role in driving the project fundraising initiatives to meet the fundraising target.

Reporting directly to the General Secretary & CEO and with guidance from the Committee, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of fundraising campaigns and managing donor relationships.

Strategic and Analytical Leadership

o Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with the organisation’s mission and values.

o Develop realistic budget that aligns with fundraising goals and allocate resources appropriately.

o Ensure compliance with legal and ethical fundraising practices.

o Utilize data and feedback to assess the effectiveness of fundraising programmes, making data-driven and research-backed decisions to optimize fundraising efforts.

o Analyse various fundraising metrics, such as donor acquisition costs and conversion rates.

Fundraising

o Lead, plan and execute all fundraising activities, including major donor cultivation (including Friends of YMCA, Alumni of YMCA programmes), online campaigns and special events.

o Identify and pursue new funding opportunities to support the project.

Stakeholder Management

o Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with donors, community partners and other internal and external stakeholders.

o Represent the organisation at relevant events and engage with key supporters to build lasting connections.

o Provide regular updates and reports to senior management, committee and board members.

o Collaborate with the marketing and communications team in developing compelling fundraising materials and campaigns.

o Uphold ethical standards in fundraising practices, ensuring transparency, honesty, and accountability in all interactions with donors and stakeholders.

· Degree with minimum 6 to 8 years of experience in fundraising, with a proven track record of successful campaigns.
