A leading company in welfare services is seeking a Senior Manager for Financial Planning & Analysis. The role involves leading the FP&A function, driving financial accountability, and collaborating with senior leadership. The Senior Manager - Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will lead the FP&A function across the organization, reporting directly to the Finance Director. This high-impact role is responsible for financial forecasting, budgeting, performance analysis, and strategic decision support for senior leadership and business units. You will collaborate with executives and department heads across the group to drive financial accountability, resource optimization, and long-term growth.
The successful candidate will play a key role with significant exposure to senior stakeholders and an opportunity to influence key organizational decisions.
Role & Responsibilities
1. Financial Planning & Analysis
Lead the monthly and year-end close processes for group-level management reporting, including in-depth financial analysis, variance tracking, and preparation of executive-ready presentations.
Develop and deliver financial presentations and board materials that communicate key results, performance indicators, and strategic insights.
Manage the annual budgeting process and monthly rolling forecasts in collaboration with Group Directors and their Heads of Centres (HoCs), ensuring alignment with business goals and resource efficiency.
Build and maintain dynamic financial models to evaluate new service offerings and business expansion opportunities.
Manage and mentor a team of three, supporting their professional development and fostering a high-performance culture.
Champion continuous improvement across FP&A processes and systems, leveraging automation and technology to improve scalability, accuracy, and efficiency.
2. Treasury & Cash Flow Management
Coordinate with the external fund manager to ensure surplus funds are managed in accordance with the investment mandate established by the Investment Committee.
Monitor daily cash flows and develop rolling cash flow forecasts to support operational needs and maximize the return on idle funds.
Ensure effective treasury risk management and compliance with internal policies.
Qualifications, Competencies & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline; CPA (or equivalent professional qualification) strongly preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in FP&A or corporate finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
Proven expertise in financial modelling, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
Strong proficiency in Excel; hands-on experience with ERP systems and financial planning software.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders.
Strategic thinker with a strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
