Job description

As a Senior Manager in ESG Assurance, you will lead independent assurance engagements over clients’ ESG disclosures, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and alignment with global sustainability standards. Sitting within the Audit Business Unit, this role focuses on providing assurance over ESG data and controls, distinct from ESG strategy and reporting advisory handled by the Advisory team.

You will work closely with audit teams, sustainability specialists, and client stakeholders to assess ESG reporting processes, evaluate internal controls, and deliver assurance opinions that build trust with investors and regulators.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead ESG assurance engagements across sectors, including planning, execution, and reporting.
• Assess ESG data quality, governance, and control environments to support assurance readiness.
• Provide assurance over disclosures aligned with frameworks such as ISSB, GRI, SASB, TCFD, and CSRD.
• Collaborate with financial audit teams to integrate ESG into the broader audit scope.
• Review and evaluate ESG metrics such as carbon emissions, diversity data, and sustainability targets.
• Deliver high-quality assurance reports and communicate findings to senior client stakeholders.
• Stay current with regulatory developments in ESG reporting and assurance standards (e.g., ISAE 3000).
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to ESG assurance methodology development.

Qualifications & Experience
