The Senior Manager, Engineering – South East Asia is part of the Architecture, Design & Construction (AD&C) team in South East Asia (SEA) who collectively makes key strategic decisions for Managed and Franchised development projects for all brands. You are responsible for providing MEP & FLS (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire & Life Safety) engineering support from project inception to hotel opening. You will cover the SEA region and be responsible for focus-service, full-service, lifestyle, and luxury hotel projects across all Hilton brands.

What will I be doing?

As the Senior Manager, Engineering – South East Asia, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Work with Hilton’s AD&C team to review MEP & FLS design documents for hotel projects within the assigned areas of the India region.
  • Assist Project Managers in meeting engineering requirements initiated by the Property Improvement Plan (PIP) for existing hotels, proposed hotel conversions, and adaptive reuse properties.
  • Review 50% and 100% Engineering Construction Documents (CD) for all MEP & FLS systems to ensure compliance with Brand Standards and good design practices. Verify that comments from previous design reviews are incorporated before construction begins.
  • Guide the incorporation of ESG (Environmental and Sustainability Governance) and Energy & Water Efficiency strategies into project design.
  • Review primary construction submittals and shop drawings to ensure compliance with Hilton standards and prototype drawings.
  • Participate in Value Engineering (VE) coordination to ensure cost-effective and efficient construction practices that meet Brand Standards and industry best practices.
  • Visit projects during construction as needed to ensure compliance with plans and address concerns promptly, providing detailed follow-up documentation.
  • Continuously review engineering standards and updates to Brand Standards, recommending revisions to align with industry best practices and regional particularities.

  • Licensed Professional Engineer.

  • At least 5 years of hospitality experience, including leadership roles in new construction and renovation projects.
  • Knowledge of sustainable design, energy efficiency, and operational principles.
  • Proven leadership, strong work ethic, adaptability, and flexibility.
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management across all levels.
  • Ability to coordinate resources internally and externally to advance company goals.
  • Leadership in change management, issue resolution, and fostering collaboration, maintaining high ethical standards.
  • Proactive in identifying, prioritizing, and implementing responsibilities aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and collaborative approach to challenges.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
