This leadership role offers strong exposure to regional markets with an emphasis on both strategy and execution.

Job Description

As the Commercial Business Development Manager (Distribution), you will be responsible for driving growth initiatives, expanding partner networks, and optimizing commercial outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong balance of strategic thinking and operational execution, with demonstrated success in building new market opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commercial Planning & Revenue Growth: Formulate and execute business growth strategies to expand market presence, capture new customer segments, and achieve revenue objectives.
  • Client & Channel Development: Develop and manage key relationships with distribution partners, customers, and business collaborators to strengthen market access and long-term partnerships.
  • Market Activation & Promotion: Lead demand generation activities, oversee market-entry initiatives, and introduce tailored offerings aligned with evolving customer needs.
  • P&L Oversight & Operational Efficiency: Oversee financial performance, manage budgets, and optimize resources to ensure profitability and operational effectiveness.
  • Team Leadership & Talent Development: Lead and mentor cross-functional commercial teams, fostering a high-performance culture driven by accountability, collaboration, and continuous development.
  • Market Intelligence & Strategic Foresight: Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitive activity to identify emerging opportunities and support informed decision-making.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 8–15 years of experience in commercial management, business development, or sales leadership, preferably within a distribution-led business model.
  • Experience working in FMCG/ Pet food & supplies industry an added advantage
  • Proven track record in driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and executing commercial strategies.
  • Experience overseeing regional operations, managing contracts, and negotiating with partners.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain high-level business relationships.
  • Self-starter with strong commercial acumen, problem-solving skills, and adaptability to dynamic market conditions.
