A leading company in supply chain management is looking for a Senior Manager, Demand Planning in Singapore. This role involves overseeing demand planning processes, leading a team of demand planners, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance supply chain performance. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in demand planning, and a bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
A Senior Manager, Demand Planning is a leadership role focused on developing and implementing demand planning processes to optimize supply chain performance which role involves leading the Demand Planner, managing forecasts, and collaborating with various departments to ensure accurate demand projections and efficient inventory management. This role strive to continuously challenge the Demand Forecast Analysis by creating a consensus Demand Plan on a global level with SICK while simultaneously performing the handshake with global supply and S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) teams. This role stay updated with industry best practices and incorporate them into demand planning practices. The incumbent plays an instrument role in continuous improvement with improvement initiatives to enhance demand planning processes, methodologies, and tools by identifying opportunities to streamline processes, increase forecast accuracy, and improve collaboration across teams in the region and global network.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Represent PC Asia, as the key lead for Demand Planning in the global network responsible for for the overall end to end demand planning process of an assigned product segment and facilitate the process within defined monthly timelines in PC Asia.
Proactive contribute to the development, reviews and implementing of demand planning strategies with methods, tools, processes to improve demand planning, including but not limit to the upkeep information on various documents e.g. Standard Operating Procedures, Demand Planning Strategies as well as Detected issues, for decisions by S&OP team.
Participate, contribute and/or lead and any complex challenges in Demand Planning / Supply Chain Management projects/initiatives.
Plan for the hosting of monthly demand forecast review meetings with the Sales & Service Cluster Demand Forecast Analyst, to drive organizational focus and alignment.
Steer and lead focus of consolidating various Sales & Service Cluster demand forecast plans into a consensus demand plan, document assumptions and adjustments.
Validate & challenge the Sales & Service Cluster demand plans based on performance measures / major changes / order entry; Clarify and document particularities with the Sales & Service Cluster Demand Forecast Analyst and highlight any concerns for immediate discussion.
Collaborate and guide with designated Demand Forecast Analysts within the Sales and Service Clusters and accurately map various demand plans into one common global demand plan.
Support in monthly global demand review meetings and document them: Including product review meetings with Strategic Product Management Team (Product Launches, Phase-Outs, Item segmentation) and coordinates demand plans for product launches and phase-outs with demand forecast analysts.
Lead, mentor and coach the other Demand Planner in the team to hone excellence & efficiency with competencies development to meet the fulfilment of Demand Planning roles & responsibilities and overall Group strategy.
Hands on expert in monitoring demand planning performance in assigned products in defined KPIs and implement mitigation measures & actions.
Assigned tasks for complex supply chain management challenges and support for the preparation of decision proposals and investigate alternative solutions, if required.
Stay updated with industry’s best practices and incorporate them into demand planning practices and bring improvements to the end-to-end supply chain management.
Proactively support the facilitation of the global demand planning process of assigned product families within defined timelines.
Supply regular updates, ability to present, articulate, and decipher on critical data points / KPIs to make recommendations on supply chain optimization.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Supply Chain, Business or Engineering or any other related field.
Minimum 15 years working relevant experience in Demand Planning with track record in leadership capacity.
Strong experience working in a Mix of High-Low-volume Planning and Production.
Relevant working knowledge in utilizing SAP system and in Advance Planning Tool(s), such as BlueYonder (preferred), I2, Kinaxis.
Well versed in understanding various Sales & Operations Planning Processes and Interfaces (Example: Data Gathering, etc.).
Strong Understanding of Statistical Models and of their Parameters /KPIs.
Possess a strong proficiency in data quality and showcase an affinity to figures.
Good understanding of End-to-End supply chain,
Strong analytical, organization, decision making qualities.Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills, showcase confidence in communicating to high level stakeholders.
Strong aptitude in cross-functional coordination.
