You will be part of Data Exchange Unit (DXU) team within the Office of Clinical Epidemiology, Analytics, and kNowledge (OCEAN), Management Information Department (MID). You will support and work
closely with the Chief Data Officer (iCDO) to drive data strategy, manage its data assets, and facilitate data exploitation, in compliance with national policies on data governance and management.
The responsibilities of this role are:
- Develop, review and update all relevant data-related policies to ensure alignment with Ministry of Health’s (MOH) and National Healthcare Group’s (NHG) data policies.
- Oversee the management and maintenance of a data request platform to facilitate data requests by staff and users from institutions within NHG cluster, and put in place protocol that complies with relevant data access, sharing, and security policies.
- Serve as a point-of-contact to liaise with other NHG institutions’ DXOs and external parties for data request as well as to contribute to NHG’s analytics and digitalization effort.
- Collaborate with relevant departments/units to build staff literacy, competency, capabilities, and knowledge in safe, efficient, and effective data exploitation and management, as part of data strategy
- Manage a secretariat team to provide secretariat support to relevant committees.
- Lead change management, engagements, and communications with different levels of stakeholders, on issues pertaining to data management, data sharing, and data exploitation.
The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:
- Degree in Information Management, Management Information Systems, Communication, Business or related fields
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience in business data management and governance, with interest in developing data strategy being a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with public healthcare operations with working knowledge of data management, handling, and governance, and the regulatory requirements pertaining to the usage and
sharing of data will be an added advantage. - Strong project management skill.
- Possess good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to get buy-in from stakeholders.
- Pro-active, resourceful, able to take challenges, work independently or as a team.
- Strong writing ability is highly desirable.
