Job description

The Senior Manager, Corporate Communications plays a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the agency's communications strategy to enhance public awareness, stakeholder engagement, and brand reputation. This role leads the Corporate Communications team and works closely with senior leadership to ensure consistent, impactful messaging that aligns with the agency's mission to serve people with diverse needs by providing impactful community services with full respect to race, language and religion.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Communications & Branding
  • Develop and implement integrated communications strategies that support the agency's vision, mission, and strategic goals.
  • Oversee brand management and ensure consistent messaging across all platforms and touchpoints.
  • Lead crisis communications planning and execution.
Media Relations & Public Engagement
  • Cultivate strong relationships with media outlets and journalists to secure positive coverage.
  • Serve as the agency's spokesperson when required.
  • Manage press releases, media queries, and public statements.
Digital & Content Strategy
  • Oversee the development of digital content including website, social media, newsletters, and multimedia assets.
  • Drive engagement through storytelling that highlights the impact of the agency's work.
Internal Communications
  • Strengthen internal communications to foster a cohesive and informed workforce.
  • Collaborate with HR and other departments to support change management and employee engagement initiatives.
Stakeholder & Community Engagement
  • Support outreach efforts to donors, volunteers, partners, and beneficiaries through targeted communications.
  • Lead the planning and execution of key events and campaigns.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing communications team.
  • Manage budgets, vendors, and performance metrics for communications initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 810 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in strategic communications, media relations, and digital engagement.
  • Experience in the social service or non-profit sector is highly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
