Job description

We are seeking a Senior Manager to lead our Corporate Communications, Services & Strategic Engagement function. This is a leadership role that will define and execute integrated strategies in communications, stakeholder engagement, branding, institutional events, internal culture, and philanthropy.

Responsibilities

  • Design and lead a forward-looking corporate communications strategy aligned with department’ vision, brand, and long-term goals.

  • Foster an agile, insights-driven communications culture with robust frameworks for impact measurement and value creation.

  • Lead change communications for key transformation initiatives, positioning operational changes as opportunities for value enhancement.

  • Develop a high-performing communications and engagement team through mentorship, coaching, and skills development.

  • Drive the planning and delivery of academic and community engagement events to raise awareness, educate, and foster trust.

  • Develop and implement an integrated marketing and communications plan to position department as a global leader in oncology.

  • Ensure consistency in brand narrative, tone, and voice across platforms—media, digital, print, and face-to-face.

  • Collaborate with clinical and research teams to translate complex outputs into impactful, audience-appropriate content.

  • Leverage digital channels and data analytics to optimize outreach and engagement strategies.

  • Champion internal communications to align the workforce with department’ values and transformation agenda.

  • Cultivate donor relationships and craft compelling narratives for major gifts and philanthropic partnerships.

  • Oversee donor recognition and reporting processes to ensure transparency, trust, and stewardship.

  • Align fundraising efforts with department’ strategic needs in patient support, education, and research.

  • Coordinate strategic projects and initiatives across the division, ensuring timely delivery and resource optimization.

  • Oversee budgeting and resource planning for engagement events and campaigns.

  • Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Reporting Officer or Department Head.


Requirements

  • Minimum 10-12 years of progressive experience in communications, marketing, stakeholder engagement, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.

  • Min Degree in Communications, Marketing, Media, Journalism, or a related field. Postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.

  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, campaign management, and brand storytelling.

  • Strong leadership track record in developing high-performing, multidisciplinary teams and navigating change.

  • Skilled at building relationships with diverse stakeholders across public, private, and healthcare sectors.

  • Exceptional written, visual, and verbal communication skills; confident presenter and public speaker.

  • Experience in internal communications, employee engagement, and supporting organizational transformation.

  • Experience in donor relations, major gift development, and grant reporting is highly desirable.
