Overview
As the Senior Manager, Business Development, this role advances SDE’s transformation by building high-impact acquisition strategies, leading sales channels and expanding our business potential across digital, live, and creative domains.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive acquisition strategies to grow engagement and revenue across SDE’s core products including the Kakee app, Music & Drama Company, creative services, experiential offerings and video production.
- Lead client engagement and sales management for Whole-of-Government (WOG) projects, demonstrating expertise and compliance in the Period Contract and Framework Agreement (PCFA) for creative procurement.
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities, manage client relationships, and champion cross-functional solutions that drive value for government, corporate and community partners.
- Build and nurture high-trust relationships with clients, delivering tailored solutions and ensuring exceptional service standards.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to develop integrated campaigns and reporting practices that meet performance goals and drive ongoing optimisation.
- Contribute to ambitious business development targets, expanding market reach, and supporting SDE’s strategic growth agenda.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of sales, marketing, or account management experience, ideally in media, entertainment, digital or creative agency environments.
- Demonstrated success in leading acquisition initiatives, delivering against commercial or marketing objectives, and presenting high-stakes solutions to diverse stakeholders.
- Proven expertise in government procurement, including WOG PCFA frameworks and public sector client servicing.
- Strong analytical skills; able to interpret market trends, customer data, and campaign performance to inform strategy and optimise growth.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and influencing capabilities, with adaptability across government, business, and community audiences.
- Highly organised, proactive, and collaborative team player able to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments.
