Job description

The Business Development Manager will report to the Senior Director and be responsible for driving business growth for Nxera Data Centre in Singapore and ASEAN, with a focus on the China hyperscaler and OTT segment.

Make an Impact by

  • Work closely with the sales team to secure sales deals from OTT/AI players for their Asia data center requirements.
  • Actively engage customers across Singapore, Asia, and other regions, identifying key stakeholders and decision-makers. Develop and present tailored sales and partnership strategies to influence requirements and decisions.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and internal and Joint Venture stakeholders (including Country Managers in Singapore, Johor, Batam, Thailand JV team, engineering, and commercial teams) for RFP technical solutioning, BOM evaluation, and commercial negotiations.
  • Serve as the product specialist for Nxera’s Data Centres in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand, providing updates on products, market landscape, and competitive intelligence to the sales team. This role may later transition to a permanent hire as the Johor DC nears completion.
  • Support the Senior Director in ad-hoc assignments.

Skills for Success

  • 5-8 years of business development and sales experience in the Data Centre industry.
  • Prior experience working with technology companies that are large data center users is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of data center design, M&E engineering, and fit-out.
  • Self-starter with strong industry connections and the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft professional proposals, reports, and sales presentations.
  • A team player with the ability to build and maintain strong partnerships.
  • Understanding of global telecommunications and data center markets is an advantage.
