Job Summary

This role supports Senior Management in strategizing, planning & implementing Sustainability initiatives, engagement activities & communication. The role also contributes to the Sustainability team in the CDL’s corporate goal of maintaining leadership, stakeholder engagement, outreach as well as advocacy and best practice sharing initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  1. Support Senior Management in strategizing, planning and implementing Sustainability initiatives. Job scope includes:
  2. Supporting Chief Sustainability Officer in conceptualising, planning and implementing Sustainability initiatives/ activities / engagement/communication.
  3. Managing information and communicating through international Sustainability Indexes, sustainability microsite and social media and effective channels that reach out to investment community in particular.
  4. Lead-managing data collation and submission of ESG ratings and questionnaires for major Global Sustainability Rankings e.g. DJSI, FTSE4Good, Global100, MSCI, GRESB, CDP, VIGEO, and submissions for CSR/Sustainability related awards.
  5. Supporting the stakeholder engagement, education and thought leadership initiatives and programs.
  6. Publication of annual integrated sustainability report; research and filling in surveys and questionnaires.
  7. Supporting top management in advocating sustainability and SDG to the public, private and people sectors in particular businesses, investors and youths.
  8. Support CDL's corporate goal to maintain leadership in sustainability.
  9. On-time and quality publication and publicity of annual Integrated Sustainability Report (SR) & SR within the Annual Report.
  10. Stakeholder engagement and outreach.
  11. Advocacy/Thought Leadership/Best Practice Sharing and CSR Communications.
  12. Monitoring/tracking updates of global sustainability trends and policies.

Requirements:

  • Min Bachelor’s Degree in relevant disciplines, a Master’s degree in a related specialisation will be advantageous, with a minimum 8 to 10 years of relevant Sustainability experience.
  • Passionate with a strong track record in designing and implementing Sustainability strategies and initiatives.
  • A keen business acumen in the sustainability industry with excellent knowledge of sustainability practices, trends, laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent presentation and written communication skills.
  • Superlative and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to evaluate and use research to drive change.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational and presentation skills.
