What the role is:
The Strategy, International & Research (SIR) Directorate oversees and drives MSF’s strategic planning, transformation, international engagement, as well as research and analytics efforts to achieve MSF’s strategic outcomes.The Research and Analytics Division (RA) drives MSF’s research and analytics efforts, to strengthen the nexus between policy, practice, operations and research and analytics to support MSF outcomes, policies and programmes. Our work entails coordinating the social research agenda, conducting research and data analytics studies, and building research expertise for MSF.As a Senior Manager/Assistant Director, you will be involved in strengthening the Ministry’s longitudinal tracking and analysis capabilities. You will be involved in spearheading and coordinating the set-up and development of a centralised database to house longitudinal data variables, to enable cross-cutting insights on families’ trajectories over time and to uncover predictors of outcomes. You will work closely with data engineers, data analysts and policy stakeholders.
What you will be working on:
• Drive strategic engagements with Policy Divisions to understand and synthesise their key longitudinal research questions and data needs• Drive strategic conversations with data source agencies to set up centralised database• Partner data engineers to onboard the database onto MSF’s data warehousing platform• Assist with data processing and management (includes harmonisation of data definitions, establishing meta-data and documentation, development of business rules and development of data governance guidelines and processes)• Manage key deliverables and timelines for the database set-up• For candidates with more working experience, you may be expected to lead a team of 1-2 officers to drive this effort
What we are looking for:
