Job description

What the role is:

Health Promotion Board’s (HPB) vision is to build a nation of healthy people. We aim to empower residents in Singapore to attain optimal health, increase the quality and years of healthy life and prevent illnesses, disability and premature death.
The Innovation Office drives the design and implementation of National Healthy Population projects, the creation of a nation-wide platform to collect and contribute real-time and personalised biometric and wellness data, through the use of smart technological solutions such as wearables, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning.

The Innovation Office aims to lead the next generation of health promotion by partnering with data and technology companies on cutting-edge co-innovations. Key technologies that are likely to be trialled in such projects span health-related wearable and sensor technology, data analytics, AI & machine learning, and behavioural science.

The Innovation Office also plays a central role in driving HPB’s strategic initiatives in AI and digitalisation, working across internal stakeholders to align priorities and orchestrate implementation efforts.

This position reports to the Deputy Director of the Innovation Office.

What you will be working on:

Responsibilities:

  • Drive cross-divisional efforts to formulate and implement strategies on AI, digitalisation and digital innovation
  • Engage internal stakeholders (e.g. data office, CIO office, business divisions) to align and implement strategic priorities
  • Scan the external landscape and evaluate potential solution providers from industry, academia and the public sector for collaboration opportunities
  • Conceptualise, plan, design, commission and implement new innovative products and programmes
  • Drive the execution of assigned products and programmes to fulfil identified business needs and desired outcomes, on-time and within budget
  • Ensure alignment with key stakeholders throughout the product or programme lifecycles

What we are looking for:

Required skills/ experience:

  • At least 9 years of relevant working experience in strategy development and/or programme/project management, ideally with exposure to innovation projects or emerging technologies.
  • Experience in stakeholder orchestration, including aligning on priorities and seeking consensus across multiple divisions.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player with good analytical, planning and management skills towards achieving set objectives and key deliverables.
  • Ability to understand and strategise business needs against competing trade-offs, and leverage data for decision-making, so as to deliver products and programmes on-time and within budget.
  • Strong internal and external stakeholder management skills to engage and influence towards desired product and programme outcomes.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong ability to work effectively in an environment that is highly matrixed, fluid and fast-paced.
  • Prior experience in the healthcare domain will be an advantage.
