KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as a business analyst contributing to the conceptualisation, requirements specification and design of an enterprise-level IT application system for the planning and management of office and research spaces, as well as infrastructure and assets. The technical solution for this system is likely to be a commercially-off-the-shelf product, tailored to A*STAR’s business requirements.
Identify and engage business stakeholders to understand the business processes, identify key requirements, and translate them into requirement specifications that inform the implementation an IT system/product.
Set the agenda in engaging business and IT representatives across A*STAR, so as to jointly determine and agree on the detailed business/process requirements, and to prioritise them so as to scope the project into a viable product with a sustainable product roadmap.
Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to evaluate commercially available products and perform analysis on gap fit to business requirements, and provide recommendation based on business goals, cost, feasibility, and scalability.
Work with business and IT stakeholders in developing functional specifications and user stories for the development or enhancement of systems, ensuring the solutions meet both business and technical needs.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Know-how and experience in the business domain of space, infrastructure, asset planning and management
- Know-how and familiarity with the use of process mapping tools is preferred
- Experience in IT project management is preferred but not necessary
- At least 5 to 8 years of relevant experience
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills, especially in process and requirements documentation
- Ability to manage various stakeholders and work with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver results effectively and efficiently
- Good at critical reasoning & analysis, problem-solving, good time management & prioritisation, and is resourceful
