Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of Application Engineers in all technical aspects related to machine tool applications.
• Provide hands-on training, support, and technical guidance on:
• a) Machine operation techniques
  • b) Mazatrol, G-code, and Macro programming
  • c) Time studies and fixture design concepts
• Acquire advanced knowledge of the latest machine tool technologies and software from Japan HQ and transfer this expertise to subsidiaries in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and India – in both Japanese and English.
• Collaborate with Japan HQ to report machine issues, propose countermeasures, and discuss technical solutions in Japanese.
• Handle special option quotation requests for Japan-manufactured products, communicating effectively in both Japanese and English.
• Support sales activities by discussing customer application requirements and proposing solutions in Singapore.
• Manage test cuts and machine run-offs both locally and in Japan.
• Develop demonstration cutting concepts by collaborating with Japan HQ and other global group companies.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of hands-on field experience with CNC machine tools, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management capacity
• Prior overseas working experience in at least one ASEAN country, with an understanding of regional diversity and practices.
• Proficient in CNC and 5-axis machine programming using CAD/CAM software.
• Skilled in laser cutting machine programming and actual laser processing.
• Familiar with the Mazak VARIAXIS and INTEGREX series.
• Fluent in both spoken and written English and Japanese, to ensure effective communication with Japan HQ and regional teams.
• Demonstrated ability in leading and managing technical teams.
• Self-driven with a high level of technical expertise and problem-solving capability.
