Job summary

Search Index Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks an on-site M&E coordinator to support the M&E Manager, coordinating mechanical and electrical works and ensuring installation compliance with drawings and schedules.

You will review materials, coordinate drawings, conduct QA/QC inspections, liaise with subcontractors and consultants, and contribute to testing, commissioning and handover activities on schedule.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.
• Experience in construction Building / Data Center / Hospital projects preferred.
• Prior contractor experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support the M&E Manager in coordinating mechanical and electrical works on site.
• Monitor site progress and ensure M&E installation works are completed according to drawings, submissions and project schedules.
• Review materials, equipment and workmanship to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Coordinate M&E drawings, including CSD and individual services drawings.
• Carry out and manage QA/QC inspections for M&E works.
• Coordinate with site supervision teams, consultants and subcontractors to clear inspections and maintain construction progress.
• Maintain updated site inspection, testing and commissioning records.
• Monitor equipment and material procurement, fabrication and delivery schedules to support timely project completion.
• Review and verify Variation Order (VO) costs and provide recommendations on pricing.
• Assess work completed and materials supplied for subcontractor and vendor progress payments.
• Ensure subcontractors and vendors provide proper supporting documents for progress claims.
• Coordinate closely with subcontractors during daily site meetings and resolve M&E coordination issues.
• Ensure M&E site activities comply with project safety requirements and approved safe work procedures.
• Support testing, commissioning and handover activities where required.
