A leading company in construction is seeking a Senior M&E Coordinator to manage Mechanical and Electrical works at the construction site. This role requires coordinating with various teams, ensuring compliance with project specifications and fostering stakeholder engagement. Ideal candidates should possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least five years of relevant experience in construction projects, particularly in condo residential or data centers.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Mechanical & Electrical services from A1 main contractor.
  • Preferably with PPVC construction experience.
  • Good written and spoken English.

Job description

The Senior M&E Coordinator (Construction) is responsible for the coordination and execution of all M&E works at site in a timely manner.

Job Responsibilities

  • Understand contract requirements and M&E specifications in order to monitor progress, quality of workmanship and compliance with project requirements/construction schedule
  • Liaise with design consultants on the design intent
  • Coordinate with in-house architectural & structural team to minimize discrepancies
  • Check and prepare material sample with shop drawing submission
  • Chair M&E coordination meeting
  • Prepare M&E coordination drawings and liaise with Architectural Coordinators and Design Engineers for drawing issuance
  • Assess, prepare and submit progress claims for project consultants & subcontractors
  • Coordinate and assist site superintendent on installation and maintenance of site temporary utilities services
  • Adherence to safety practices in the workplace

  • Understand and participate in the implementation of Virtual Design Construction (VDC) concept

Job Requirements

  • Preferably with a Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Mechanical & Electrical services from A1 main contractor
  • Candidate with PPVC construction experience is most preferred
  • Candidate with full cycle in condo residential, mixed development or data center projects experience would have added advantage
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Exhibit good character of strength, willing to learn and resourceful
  • Good stakeholder engagement and management skills
  • Good organizational, administrative and time management skills
  • Able to work independently and as a team player in a fast and dynamic work environment
