The Senior M&E Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and execution of all M&E works at site in a timely manner.
Job Responsibilities
- Understand contract requirements and M&E specifications in order to monitor progress, quality of workmanship and compliance with project requirements/construction schedule.
- Liaise with design consultants on the design intent.
- Coordinate with in-house architectural & structural team to minimize discrepancies.
- Check and prepare material sample with shop drawing submission.
- Attend and facilitate M&E coordination meeting.
- Prepare M&E coordination drawings and liaise with Architectural Coordinators and Design Engineers for drawing issuance.
- Assess, prepare and submit progress claims for project consultants & subcontractors.
- Coordinate and assist site superintendent on installation and maintenance of site temporary utilities services.
- Adherence to safety practices in the work place.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline from a recognized University.
- At least with 5 years of relevant work experience in coordination of M&E works with different trades (e.g. C&S & Archi) and other stakeholders (e.g. consultant and subcontractors) for large scale building projects with an A1 main contractor.
- Candidates with either mixed development, condominium or data center projects would have an added advantage.
- Understand contract requirement and M&E specification.
- Understand BIM concept and be able to supervise and push for M&E works to be completed timely with relevant stakeholders.
- Able to manage and solve complex problems at site.
- Understand all the essential code of practices and relevant authority requirements for submissions of documents and inspections.
- Understand and participate in the implementation of Virtual Design Construction (VDC) concept.
