Platform: OutSystems Developer Cloud (ODC)

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Low-Code Engineer to lead the end-to-end architecture and technical delivery of a Workflow Management Platform built on OutSystems Developer Cloud (ODC). You will define the target architecture across application, integration, data, security, and deployment, while providing hands‑on technical leadership to the build team. This role requires strong engineering judgement, practical ODC implementation experience, and the ability to drive delivery standards that ensure scalability, maintainability, and operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the end-to-end solution architecture for the Workflow Management Platform on ODC, covering application, integration, data, security, and deployment architecture
• Establish ODC architecture principles and engineering standards, including reusable components, design patterns, and development guidelines to ensure consistency and long‑term maintainability
• Provide technical leadership to the delivery team: translate architecture into technical designs, run design/code reviews, unblock complex issues, and guide implementation decisions
• Perform hands‑on ODC development for shared/common components, complex workflows, critical integrations, and technical proof‑of‑concepts where required
• Design and govern integration and security architecture, including APIs, authentication/SSO, access control, auditability, and non‑functional requirements (performance, reliability, etc.)
• Define the technical approach for approved AI‑enabled capabilities, ensuring appropriate integration patterns, data handling, security controls, and auditability
• Own DevSecOps and release management: CI/CD approach, environment configuration, deployment strategy, security controls, monitoring, and production readiness across dev/test/prod
• Drive technical handover and operational readiness, including documentation, knowledge transfer, and support transition to the client’s operations team

Requirements / Skills (Must-Have)

• Strong hands‑on experience in OutSystems with proven capability in solution architecture and technical leadership
• Experience designing enterprise workflow platforms or complex business applications (multi‑module, role‑based access, audit trails, integrations)
• Solid understanding of integration architecture (REST APIs, authentication/SSO patterns, error handling, observability)
• Strong grounding in security‑by‑design (access control, secure integration patterns, audit logging, non‑functional requirements)
• Experience setting up or governing CI/CD and release practices for low‑code platforms, including environment management and deployment controls
• Ability to lead teams through design decisions, code quality reviews, and complex troubleshooting

Nice-to-Have / Advantage

• OutSystems ODC certification (advantage, not mandatory)
• Experience with AI feature integration in enterprise systems (with attention to security, data governance, and auditability)
• Prior experience delivering in government / regulated environments with strong compliance and documentation expectations
