Job Summary
The Senior Logistics Specialist - Warehouse and Cold Chain Management is responsible for executing general warehouse operations and activities. He/She performs warehouse operations in adherence to procedures, ensuring the safe and efficient handling of goods and equipment.
He/She also coordinates deliveries, asset management, transaction documentation, and the secure handling of goods. Additionally, he/she implements improvement opportunities within warehouse operations.
He/She may be required to work in rotating shifts and carry heavy loads. Vigilance, decisiveness, and effective communication skills are essential.
Job Responsibilities/Key Tasks (External)
Business Administration Operations- Participate in fostering a value-based culture and a culture of accountability within the organization
- Adhere to governance, compliance, and reporting processes
- Follow data governance and protection protocols
- Utilize allocated resources effectively within business activities
- Apply operational policies, standards, and procedures
- Perform basic risk assessments
- Support incident or crisis management initiatives
Business Process/Continuous Improvement- Engage in continuous improvement activities
- Document business requirements accurately
- Implement environmental protection procedures
- Enhance logistics service quality
Safety and Health- Comply with WSH (Workplace Safety and Health) requirements
- Conduct safety and health risk assessments
- Report WSH incidents promptly
- Suggest solutions to address safety shortcomings
Technology Application- Support technology projects with team members
- Utilize the latest technology to improve operations
- Operate relevant electronic tools and devices
Warehousing, Cargo, and Material Handling- Address warehousing quality issues promptly
- Coordinate cargo and item arrangements or rotations
- Perform warehouse security operations as per plans
- Manage stock control and housekeeping of warehouse cargo and items
- Execute operations suited to various warehousing situations and contingencies
- Track cargo handling schedules to ensure timely completion
- Implement 5S techniques (sort, set, shine, standardize, sustain) in warehouse operations
- Handle dangerous goods using appropriate methods
- Manage time and temperature-sensitive cargo handling
- Perform cargo consolidation, transhipment, and transloading activities
- Ensure compliance with height, weight, and special handling requirements during stacking, moving, and pallet arrangements
Job Requirements
- Basic knowledge of SAP/Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Relevant warehouse experience
- Physically capable of lifting and moving packages
- Good team player, able to work independently and collaboratively
- Forklift license is preferred
Professional Qualifications & Relevant Experience
- GCE N/O Levels / NITEC
- 1-2 years of relevant warehouse operations experience
