Job summary

GMP Technologies in Singapore is seeking a Senior Linux Systems Engineer to manage the full lifecycle of Red Hat Linux servers in a banking environment, including installation, configuration, patching, hardening, and performance tuning. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS or related field.
• Red Hat certification (RHCE/RHCSA or equivalent) mandatory.
• “8+ years hands-on Linux admin experience in Banking/FS.”
• Strong Linux deployment, tuning, and clustering skills.
• Experience with automation tools: Ansible, Foreman.
• Knowledge of cloud architectures, especially Azure.
• Experience with monitoring tools like SolarWinds.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of Red Hat Linux servers: install, configure, patch, and recover.
• Develop and enforce security policies; ensure MAS/Bank compliance and audits.
• Identify root causes and guide remediation with implementation teams.
• Provide leadership/guidance to supervisors; monitor performance and address issues.
• Adhere to change management; conduct testing and sign-off.
• Generate weekly/monthly status reports and maintain inventories.
