Job summary

GMP Technologies in Singapore is seeking a Senior Linux Systems Engineer to manage the full lifecycle of Red Hat Linux servers in a banking environment, including installation, configuration, patching, hardening, and performance tuning. You will develop security policies, ensure regulatory compliance with MAS, and lead remediation with implementation teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS or related field.
Red Hat certification (RHCE/RHCSA or equivalent) mandatory.
“8+ years hands-on Linux admin experience in Banking/FS.”
Strong Linux deployment, tuning, and clustering skills.
Experience with automation tools: Ansible, Foreman.
Knowledge of cloud architectures, especially Azure.
Experience with monitoring tools like SolarWinds.

Responsibilities

Manage full lifecycle of Red Hat Linux servers: install, configure, patch, and recover.
Develop and enforce security policies; ensure MAS/Bank compliance and audits.
Identify root causes and guide remediation with implementation teams.
Provide leadership/guidance to supervisors; monitor performance and address issues.
Adhere to change management; conduct testing and sign-off.
Generate weekly/monthly status reports and maintain inventories.
