We are currently seeking a high-caliber professional to join our team as a Senior Legal Counsel, Private Banking.

Principal Responsibilities

• Assist and support the HSBC Private Banking business in Singapore in its regional growth strategy by providing expert, commercially sensible, and pragmatic legal advice, guidance, and support to mitigate legal, conduct, and reputational risks.
• Draft, review, and negotiate relevant contracts and transaction documents, including bespoke credit documentation for complex cross-border transactions and service agreements for new strategic launches.
• Identify new legal, regulatory, and market developments affecting business activities and advise teams on their implications.
• Support local, regional, and global projects and initiatives.
• Advise on managing complaints, disputes, and internal investigations related to Private Banking.
• Inform relevant management on non-standard legal, conduct, and reputational risks, and brief senior legal management on major issues and legislative changes.
• Manage external counsel engagement efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures to support Legal's role in the second line of defense.
