Our Role

Join Allianz Insurance Singapore as our Senior Legal & Compliance Counsel – a trusted Legal, Compliance & Data Privacy advisor. In this dynamic and strategic role, you will be a key partner in ensuring that our operations are not only compliant but forward-looking, enabling business growth with confidence. You will work closely with teams across the organization, providing proactive legal guidance and safeguarding the company against legal and regulatory risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on insurance, corporate commercial and other business activities of the Company, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating relevant legal documentation and internal reports, standards, policies, and procedures
• Advise and support on actual and potential contentious matters involving the Company
• Ensure communication and implementation of applicable policies and procedures within the department/business
• Ensure that compliance and data privacy issues or concerns are appropriately evaluated, investigated, and resolved
• Develop, maintain, and revise policies and guidelines to ensure the Company complies with all necessary guidelines, regulations, and legislation
• Stay abreast of industry developments and emerging trends, including the introduction of new products/services and their implications from a regulatory and compliance perspective
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of Legal and Compliance experience, with a legal background and relevant experience in the insurance industry
• Experience with local regulatory requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Proven team player with the ability to work independently
• Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues across various functions, cultures, and backgrounds
