Job summary

J.P. Morgan’s Cross Markets Strategic Index team seeks a Senior Lead Software Engineer, Python, to design and develop applications for the Strategic Index desk.

You will work with a global team to deliver high-quality code in a fast-paced environment that evolves with business opportunities. Responsibilities include leading key projects, collaborating with other technology groups, and delivering reliable software across trading, risk, and operations domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related fields.
• 8+ years of technology experience delivering complex solutions in a financial or trading environment.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with Java, C++, or C#.
• Willingness to further develop Python if needed.
• Strong communication and collaboration across global teams.
• Experience with Agile development and test-driven practices.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver key projects within the global program of work for the Strategic Index desk.
• Collaborate with other technology teams to deliver scalable, reliable trading and risk software.
