Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking a Senior Python Developer to join the Athena Rates development team, delivering Risk and PnL for Rates products. You will design, develop, and integrate sophisticated solutions supporting trading desks and back-office functions across rates products.

You will work with quantitative analysts, traders, risk managers, and Equities tech teams to integrate systems across middle and back-office processing, starting with Swap Derivatives and Options products.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Python experience in software engineering.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of OO design, testing methodologies, and version control.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable, performant code for large volumes of market data and complex financial calculations.
• Participate in architectural decisions, code reviews, and technical design sessions.
• Drive team adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices with validated standards and secure coding practices.
• Apply SDLC tools to improve automation and value realized by automation.
