Job summary

Astris Search Group is collaborating with an established Singapore law firm to hire an Insolvency & Restructuring Lawyer. This role offers a hybrid working environment, infrastructure for complex matters, and direct involvement with high-stakes insolvency cases.

The ideal candidate holds a recognised law degree and Singapore Bar admission, with strong advisory and contentious experience across restructuring, liquidations, schemes of arrangement, and enforcement work.

Qualifications

• Hold a recognised Law degree and are admitted to the Singapore Bar.
• Experience in Singapore insolvency, restructuring and/or contentious insolvency matters.
• Ability to manage matters independently with supervision as appropriate.
• Experience advising companies, creditors, debtors, insolvency practitioners and other stakeholders.
• Familiar with IRDA and Singapore's insolvency framework.
• Experience with liquidations, judicial management, schemes of arrangement and enforcement.
• Comfortable handling advisory and contentious matters.
• Strong research, drafting, advocacy and client-management skills.
• Commercially minded with awareness of business considerations in distress.
• Organised and able to manage multiple complex matters and deadlines.

Are you an experienced Insolvency & Restructuring Lawyer looking for greater autonomy, flexibility and strong support?

Astris Search Group is working with an established Singapore law firm seeking an Insolvency & Restructuring Lawyer to join its growing practice.

This role offers a hybrid working environment giving you the infrastructure and flexibility to focus on complex matters, clients and strategic case management.

Who You Are

• Hold a recognised Law degree and are admitted to the Singapore Bar.
• Have relevant experience in Singapore insolvency, restructuring and/or contentious insolvency matters.
• Comfortable managing matters independently with an appropriate level of supervision depending on seniority.
• Experience advising companies, creditors, debtors, insolvency practitioners, liquidators, judicial managers and/or other stakeholders.
• Familiar with Singapore's insolvency and restructuring framework, including the Insolvency, Restructuring and Dissolution Act (IRDA).
• Experience with liquidations, judicial management, schemes of arrangement, restructuring matters and/or enforcement-related work.
• Comfortable handling both advisory and contentious matters, where required.
• Strong legal research, drafting, advocacy and client-management skills.
• Commercially minded and able to understand the wider business considerations surrounding distressed situations.
• Organised and comfortable managing multiple complex matters and deadlines simultaneously.
