Responsibilities

1) Design Leadership

• Lead the development of design concepts, detailed drawings, and project presentations.
• Incorporate plant species, water-sensitive urban design principles, and climate-positive materials into landscape solutions.
• Ensure designs meet planting standards, promote soil health, and comply with ABC Waters and NParks regulations.

2) Project & Technical Delivery

• Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure smooth project execution.
• Coordinate with stakeholders throughout all project phases to uphold design intent and deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor implementation and address technical issues.
• Support the ongoing enhancement of green design workflows and documentation standards.

3) Client Engagement & Advocacy

• Attend client meetings and assist in presenting proposals for new projects.
• Champion the ecological, social, and economic benefits of sustainable landscape design.

4) Team Leadership & Mentorship

• Guide and mentor junior designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
• Share expertise in ecological detailing and sustainable construction practices.

5) Additional Duties

• Take on other responsibilities as needed to support project and organizational objectives.

What We’re Looking For

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture or Architecture, with an interest in ecological design.
• 7–10 years of experience in landscape design and project coordination, ideally with a focus on sustainable or green projects.
• Demonstrated leadership and the ability to manage multiple projects independently from concept to completion.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM tools (e.g., Revit), SketchUp, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.
• Freehand sketching and visual storytelling abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with clients, consultants, and team members.
• A valid driving license and access to a personal vehicle.
