Job description
The selected candidate will conduct R&D in an IAF-PP project to develop new delivery platform for targeted delivery of bio-based anticancer reagents to tumors.
Job Responsibilities
Synthesize and characterize polymers for biomedical applications
Fabricate and characterize crosslinked hydrogels/microgels.
Develop manufacturing processes including optimization of processing parameters.
Communicate and work with collaborators at NUS and NUH in biological testing of microgels/hydrogels
Perform material characterizations and testing.
Prepare technical reports for technical disclosures, patents, and publications
Job Requirement
Diploma in organic chemistry or material (polymer engineering) engineering
Having strong analytical skills (applying scientific rules and analytical methods) to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions/approaches to problems
Basic understanding of chemical characterization techniques including NMR, UV-Vis, and FTIR
Experiences in characterizations and testing of polymers, such as DSC, GPC, TGA and rheology
