Job summary

Bitdeer is seeking a senior distributed systems engineer to design scalable control-plane architectures and develop Kubernetes Operators for fleet-wide automation. You will optimize etcd, ensure secure multi-tenant isolation at the API layer, and lead efforts for zero-downtime upgrades across multiple clusters.

With 8+ years in software engineering and deep Kubernetes experience, you will collaborate with AI scheduling and Fabric teams to integrate GPU orchestration and drive reliability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience in distributed systems.
• Hands-on Go development in production environments.
• Deep Kubernetes experience (Operators, CRDs, API Server).
• Experience with multi-tenancy models and cloud-native governance.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable control plane architectures using Cluster API.
• Develop Kubernetes Operators and CRDs for lifecycle management.
• Optimize etcd performance and state management across regions.
• Implement secure multi-tenant isolation at the API server layer.
• Architect zero-downtime upgrades and multi-cluster federation.
• Collaborate with AI Scheduling and Fabric teams for GPU orchestration integration.
• Lead design reviews and mentor engineers to uphold high standards.
• Drive platform reliability by mitigating failure modes before training/inference workloads.
