Job summary

Exasoft is seeking an experienced Software Architect to design and implement large distributed systems using Java/J2EE and Spring Boot. The role focuses on microservices architecture, REST/SOAP services, and API management with Swagger specs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of technical experience in architecture development, backend integration, and development.
• Strong hands-on with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and testing frameworks (JUnit, Cucumber).
• Deep knowledge of SOA, microservices design, REST and SOAP services.
• Experience with Java fundamentals (Java 8+), Spring ecosystem, and clean code principles.
• Hands-on in Java microservices (Spring Boot) and RESTful/SOAP APIs.
• Experience designing scalable microservices and API gateways.
• Exposure to middleware/messaging (MQ/JMS, Kafka) and event-driven patterns.
• Familiarity with Spring Cloud, Swagger specs, and OAuth-based authentication.
• Experience deploying Java microservices in Kubernetes and building deployment pipelines.
• Knowledge of PCI and secure coding standards.
• Experience with MSSQL data modelling and performance optimisation.

Responsibilities

• Translate functional requirements into architectural designs and patterns.
• Lead efforts with SMEs to ensure requirements are met and aligned with standards.
• Define best practices and standards for microservice implementations.
• Identify implementation patterns and accelerators to improve delivery quality.
• Evaluate industry technologies to balance cost, portability, and usability.
• Propose design risks and alternatives with high-quality solutions.
