Job summary

re-zoo-me is seeking a senior Java engineer to drive enterprise application development for a financial services project. You will build backend microservices with Spring Boot, and develop REST APIs, while integrating with frontend apps.

You will work with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure, CI/CD (Jenkins/Git), and modern frontend tech like Angular/React. The role requires 8+ years in Java and strong SDLC, Agile practices, and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of working experience in software development.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java development and Spring Boot.
• Experience with Microservices architecture and REST API development.
• Frontend experience with React and HTML/CSS/JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Knowledge of Micro Frontends (MFE).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• CI/CD practices using Jenkins and Git.
• Kafka and event-driven architectures beneficial.
• Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
• Cloud platforms AWS and/or Azure.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and enhance scalable Microservices-based applications and REST APIs.
• Develop responsive frontend applications using Angular and React.
• Work with HTML, CSS and JavaScript/TypeScript for frontend development.
• Develop and support Micro Frontends (MFE) architecture where applicable.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend Microservices and REST APIs.
• Work with Docker and Kubernetes for containerisation and deployment.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Git.
• Work with Kafka for event-driven integration and asynchronous communication.
• Work with MySQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Deploy and support applications on AWS and Azure.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, troubleshooting and production support.
• Participate in Agile development, code reviews, technical discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.
