Job summary

Luxoft in Singapore is seeking a seasoned Java engineer to design and develop enterprise applications, focusing on backend microservices, REST APIs, and cloud-native deployment.

You will build responsive UIs with Angular/React, integrate frontend with backend services, containerize with Docker, orchestrate with Kubernetes, and implement CI/CD pipelines. Strong SQL and event-driven architectures are expected in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of working experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java development.
• Spring Boot and Microservices architecture expertise.
• REST API development and integration experience.
• React frontend experience.
• HTML, CSS, Java (typo-tolerant) knowledge.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Jenkins, Git and CI/CD practices.
• Kafka event-driven architectures experience.
• Database experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
• Cloud familiarity with AWS and/or Azure.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop scalable Microservices-based applications and REST APIs.
• Develop responsive frontend applications using Angular and React.
• Work with HTML, CSS and Java for frontend development.
• Develop and support Micro Frontends (MFE) architecture where applicable.
• Integrate frontend with backend Microservices and REST APIs.
• Work with Docker and Kubernetes for containerisation and deployment.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Git.
• Work with Kafka for event-driven integration and asynchronous communication.
• Work with MySQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Deploy and support applications on AWS and Azure.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, troubleshooting and production support.
• Participate in Agile development, code reviews and continuous improvement.
