Job summary

FPT Asia Pacific is seeking an experienced Java Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and microservices in a cloud-native AWS environment in Singapore.

You will work on secure, high-performing systems, integrating with enterprise platforms, and contributing to production support, incident resolution, and continuous improvement across the SDLC with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Java backend development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3.x.
• Experience with microservices and REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Hands-on with AWS ECS/EC2/RDS.
• Experience with GitLab, AWS CodeCommit, and AWS CodePipeline.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and cloud deployment.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Oracle databases.
• Experience with Okta authentication and MuleSoft integrations.
• Good understanding of cloud security, monitoring, and scalable design.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Java-based microservices and REST/GraphQL APIs using Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3.x.
• Build scalable, secure, high-performance backend applications and services.
• Develop integrations with MuleSoft, Okta, and other enterprise systems.
• Deploy and manage applications on AWS services including ECS, EC2, and RDS.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, AWS CodeCommit, and AWS CodePipeline.
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code and support cloud deployment activities.
• Work with SQL and Oracle databases, including query optimisation.
• Monitor and troubleshoot applications using Grafana and AWS CloudWatch.
• Participate in production support, incident resolution, RCA, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with architects, DevOps, QA, and business teams throughout SDLC.
