Job summary

CARECONE PTE. LTD. seeks a Lead Java Developer to design and implement backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka and microservices. You will mentor junior developers and ensure architectural alignment across teams.

You will drive scalable backend initiatives, participate in code reviews, and support CI/CD and containerization with Docker and Kubernetes. Banking/financial services experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 7+ years backend development experience in banking or financial services.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
• Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs and modern backend architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Implement event-driven architecture with Apache Kafka for real-time streaming.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects to align backend design with enterprise architecture.
• Drive code reviews, enforce best practices, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a DevOps culture.
