Job summary

NETS is seeking a Java Application Developer to design, develop, and maintain backend services on Spring Boot. You will work with a cross-functional team to deliver new projects, enhance systems, and support production environments, with experience in online payment flows considered an advantage.

The role requires a degree in Computer Science or related fields and at least five years of full SDLC experience in Java applications, plus strong Java, Spring, microservices, REST, and SOA capabilities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related technology.
• 5 years of proven experience with full SDLC of Java applications.
• Strong skills in Java, Spring, microservices, REST/web-service, and SOA.
• Experience with Linux, messaging queues (Solace), MySQL, SSL, and JSON interfaces.
• Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, and JIRA; payments knowledge is a plus.
• Proactive team player who can work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test features and reusable components per technical specs.
• Gather requirements and translate business needs into specs.
• Produce design docs, specifications, and unit test plans.
• Support integration, UAT, and production deployment phases.
• Troubleshoot issues with logs and cross-team collaboration.
• Maintain and enhance existing applications with fixes and performance improvements.
