Job summary

PERSOL Singapore Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an experienced Java backend engineer to design and develop enterprise-grade API services, with a focus on performance, security, and observability. You will own end-to-end delivery from design through production, mentor juniors, and collaborate with architects to align with platform strategy, including Splunk-based diagnostics.

This role requires 6+ years of hands-on Java 17+/Spring Boot 3 experience in enterprise settings and strong SQL/Oracle

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 6+ years of hands-on Java 17+ with Spring Boot 3 in enterprise environments.
• Strong SQL/PLSQL, Oracle DB, data modeling, and ORM/JDBC experience.
• Experience with MQ-based messaging, event-driven workflows, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of enterprise Java backend API services aligned with architecture and platform strategy.
• Analyze and resolve multi-threading, concurrency, and JVM performance issues.
• Enforce high standards of code quality, security, performance, and test coverage.
• Design logging/observability strategies; ensure effective Splunk ingestion for monitoring and analytics.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and promote engineering best practices.
• Own end-to-end deliverables from design to production; identify risks and dependencies.
• Collaborate with delivery managers and architects to manage technical risks and non-functional requirements.
• Contribute to production support, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement for resilience.
